Bocote
There has been some concern about bocote being especially toxic within healed piercings. This is in response to a comment on the matter:
Due to the lack of controlled medical studies, this has always been a difficult subject to research. Most of the research is focused on dust particles rather then direct skin contact. If your referring to Bocote, it does contain cordiachrome compounds which can indeed cause contact dermatitis in certain people, however cases of this are very rare. Any wood species has the capacity to sensitize the wearer on contact and is relative to each person. Before I make any sales with a species, I (and a few close friends) research the material and wear a pair for a long period to watch for any adverse effects. I also avoid certain species that are known to be more reactive with people. In my experience I’ve never witnessed an adverse reaction to any of the wood species on my page.
If anyone out there has had any sort of adverse effects to any type of wooden plugs (sold or not sold by me) please message me what happened so I can better serve my customers.

Due to elitism and ignorance, I’m replacing the word ‘gauge’ (cross-sectional measurement) to ‘size’ (cross-sectional measurement) because its a concept that escapes a few. I feel it would be a simpler option then having to explain the definition of gauge and the AWG system every time its misread. Happy now? I don’t mean to sound like a dick but this is frustrating.
I may be interested in purchasing a pain of 7/8ths tear drop plugs. How much would they be? Can you link me to some on Etsy?
The price really depends on the material, some wood I must charge more for. A pair of 7/8 teardrops in Mahogany, Bocote, or Olive wood would be $35. A pair of Black and white ebony (or garbon ebony) would be $40. and a pair in Amboyna would be $50. Thats only a few examples so if theres a specific material you’d want that I didn’t mention here let me know and I’ll give you a price. I have a lot more burl woods coming in.

HEY PEOPLE!!!! I’m sellin a bunch of my pieces for $15. Most of them are normally $30 or more. Nothings wrong with any of them I’ve just had them for a very long time and want them gone. I’ve also decided to discontinue my acrylic pieces because I’m not a fan of the material and I’m beginning to get into stone work. All plugs in the album are $15 for the pair.
